JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In an unfortunate incident which occurred at a wedding in Modi’in Sunday night, a choson fell of a table he was dancing on and crashed to the floor 3 meters below, sustaining a severe head injury. The choson, who was semi-conscious after the fall, was treated by medics and paramedics and transferred to the hospital in serious condition.

Itai Peretz, an MDA paramedic who treated the choson, related that “when we came into the wedding hall we found a 34-year-old man lying semi-conscious on the floor with a head injury. People said that he had fallen from a height of 3 meters. We gave him first aid on the scene and evacuated him in serious but stable condition. However the choson’s condition has deteriorated and he is currently sedated and intubated at the Tel Hashomer hospital.
The choson is a student at the Halichos Shlomo yeshiva headed by Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach and is very close to his rebbe , who danced with him for a long time at the wedding prior to his fall. Please pray for the recovery of Itai ben Ahuva.
The incident comes just a few days after another serious incident at a wedding in Bnei Brak in which a 13-year-old boy set off fireworks in a confetti device, causing a number of injuries, with 2 people moderately injured.
maybe just maybe we should NOT lift up a choson 3 meters, or not at all
i always hold my breath at every wedding when they lift the choson, till they lower him to the floor, its a Nes more tragedies are not happening
I have seen many falls and it is time Rabanim came out with a proclamation . One chosen fell off a chair and a rib pierced his lung. I was at the wedding and saw it happen. This is life and death.
