WASHINGTON (VINnews) — Although Ukraine has dominated the headlines, multiple reports from Vienna indicate that President Biden and the Iranians are just days away from signing a nuclear deal.

The media has been largely ignoring this story. They may be distracted by Ukraine, or their reason may be more sinister. The Biden-friendly media might be trying to hide the details of the nuke deal, which appear to give Iran enormous freedom to develop nukes, while supporting terrorists and endangering the U.S. and Israel.

Gabriel Noronha, Special Advisor for Iran in the State Department under President Trump, says that the impending deal could be a nightmare. He says that Biden is prepared to make massive and dangerous concessions, including lifting sanctions on evil terrorists, and loosening restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program.

The following is a synopsis of an essay that Noronha wrote about the upcoming deal:

According to reports from late January, three top U.S. diplomats quit negotiations—largely in protest against U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley. They felt that Malley was agreeing to too many concessions and was too soft on Iran.

Keep in mind, these were establishment Democrat negotiators appointed by the Biden team, not right-wing activists. Yet the concessions were too lenient even for them.

Russian Ambassador Mikhail Ulyanov, who led the negotiations, has boasted that “Iran got much more than it could expect. Much more,” and bragged about how Russia teamed up with China and Iran to get dozens of wins for Iran against Biden.

Noronha says that “the deal being negotiated in Vienna is dangerous to U.S. national security, the stability of the Middle East, and to the Iranian people who suffer most under that brutal regime.” He also says it’s illegal and illegitimate, and will not be beneficial to U.S. interests.

He quotes sources who say that Biden’s team promised to lift sanctions on some of the regime’s worst terrorists and torturers, on leading officials who have developed Iran’s WMD infrastructure, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

There will be fewer nuclear restrictions than under the original Obama nuclear deal, and the restrictions will expire six years sooner.

Sanctions Lifted on Dozens of Terrorists

Biden will end sanctions under Executive Order (E.O.) 13876, which would lift sanctions on nearly all of the 112 people and entities sanctioned under that authority.

The list includes “some of the most evil people you can possibly imagine”.

It includes terrorists like Mohsen Rezaei, who was involved in the Jewish Center bombing in Argentina in 1994 that killed 85 people when he was commander-in-chief of the IRGC.

Sanctions will also be lifted on Ali Akbar Velayati, a a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei who was one of the “ideological masterminds” behind the Argentina attack, in addition to other acts of terror.

Sanctions will be lifted from Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi. The ‘Butcher of Tehran’ ordered the execution of around 5,000 Iranians in the 1988 “Death Commissions”, including of young children.. Raisi’s victims were loaded by forklifts in groups of six onto cranes and hanged every 30 minutes.

One of the few survivors “spared” was a pregnant woman who was taken to a torture chamber instead of to the crane, in an act of “compassion”. She was repeatedly lashed and tortured by several men, and later said she remembered one of them as Raisi himseld.

It’s crucial to mention that these sanctions are in no way linked to Iran’s nuclear program, and their removal under a “nuclear deal” is a farce. The sanctions, created by Trump, were a response to actions taken by Iran to destabilize the Middle East, promote international terrorism, and advance Iran’s ballistic missile program. They were specifically imposed in retaliation against Iran’s attack against U.S. military assets and civilian vessels.

Many more sanctions will reportedly be lifted as well, on major Iranian entities which have helped fund terrorists, including the IRGC, the Quds Force, and Hezbollah

In addition, Malley is apparently planning to have the terror label removed for the IRGC, one of the most vicious and deadly terror groups on the planet.

Fewer Restrictions on Iran’s Nuke Program

In exchange for these massive concessions, Iran is giving up very little. The Obama deals’ sunset clauses have not been extended at all. Some past restrictions, like the UN arms embargo for importing or exporting conventional weapons, have already expired. All meaningful restrictions will expire over the next nine years. Iran will not make any concessions on its ballistic missile activity, its terrorist activity, its support for proxy groups, or its hostage-taking from the United States and other countries.

More Cash for Iran

The Biden deal will pay Iran a massive windfall of cash: Noronha estimates, based on his insider knowledge as a former State Dept official, Iran will obtain $90 billion in access to foreign exchange reserves, and an additional $50-$55 billion in extra revenue each year from higher oil and petrochemical exports, with no restrictions on how the money can be spent.

In addition, Biden is planning to send a $7 billion ransom payment for the release of four Americans from an Iranian jail. These are innocent victims, however Noronha claims that “Biden’s payment will only supercharge Iran’s hostage-taking industry.”

It is no surprise that the Biden team has been pitifully weak in its negotiations with Iran. Many have feared that the US would be returning to a weak deal orchestrated by President Obama.

Norhona says that is not the case. The Biden administration has negotiated an entirely different agreement, which is “much worse than the original.”
