The bridge was initially erected in 2010 as a temporary structure and then in 2014 made into a permanent structure, enabling Rav Chaim in his last years to cross from his house to the Lederman Beis Midrash and serve as Sandek as he used to do almost daily. Even during his final year when he did not go out much, he used to stand on the bridge for Kiddush Levana.

The bridge, which had disturbed some neighbors, had been built on condition that it would be dismantled after Rav Chaim’s passing and his family hastened to fulfill this condition during the Shiva of their father. On Erev Shabbos the family made a hole in the bridge so that the tumah (impurity) should not pass to the shul from the house of Rav Chaim, where his body was placed until the levaya.

Disgusting neighbohrs. The bridge of the Saar Hatorah is bothering them? For their rotten, sticking, attitude and becabecause of their lack of Kavod for the Saar Hatorah, they will never ever have any Mazal or Simin Bracha in their lifetime. Of all the problems in the world, their number one issue is to take down the bridge on what the Saar Hatorah walked on which renains Kodesh Kadashim. To even mention when they originally built the bridge that achar moso is disgusting and azos. Shame shame on such Eirev Rav.
