Orthodox Firebrand Heshy Tischler Runs For Office, Again

BROOKLYN (VINnews) – An Orthodox activist who led the charge against city’s COVID regulations said he is running for district leader in Brooklyn’s District 48, hoping to take advantage of Mayor Eric Adams’ bid to topple the current office-holder in Borough Park.

Heshy Tischler, a radio host and political gadfly, pleaded guilty last year to charges that he instigated a riot over COVID restrictions among haredi Orthodox Jews in Borough Park. He later ran an unsuccessful race for City Council.

Tischler still has political ambitions, and he told the New York Jewish Week that he would challenge the current district leader, David Schwartz. Schwartz is also being challenged by Penny Ringel, an associate of Adams. The Adams administration allegedly wants to replace Schwartz with Ringel due to the former’s support of mayoral candidate Andrew Yang in the 2021 Democratic primaries, according to a report by the New York Post.

That appears to be a lot of wrangling for a part-time, unpaid job. District leaders help to get more members of their party elected and select judicial nominees for their district.

We need more Heshys. We need more anti establishment people to fight our fight , we the ordinary people. We need Trumps , Rudys and Heshys desperately. We’re tired of the pols , askans and machers and various and sundry liars who laugh behind our backs ,who shove us under the bus each and every time. HESHY ROCKS !

I am not a fan as a frum Jew of yelling in the streets and poking the goyim. But I value what he fought for. He was there way before the truckers fought for we the people rights. And he exposed the corrupt governor antichos way before he was chucked.

I notice whoever sticks his neck out for our people gets attacked. Be it Moshe Rabbeinu or Heshy Tishler. Had he just kept quiet and joined all the back dealers who just use our communities to care from themselves they would be left alone. It’s the people who speak up on behalf of our nation who are ranked out but in Shemayim they are the hero’s.

I hope Tischler wins as I know that FJCC is supporting David Schwartz and they also supported the liberal UFT anti Yeshiva candidate Steve Saperstein. The FJCC members half of whom dont live in Brooklyn are doing the bidding of the business community not regular residents.

Once I saw a video of him berating a teenager calling him a loser and berating him and his mother in a pizza shop……he isnt fit for public office, regardless if the teenager may have provoked him, was very disturbing.

Unfortunately, District Leaders and political clubs wield unchecked authority and power in choosing the slate of civic court and supreme court justices that appear on the ballot. It would be to the community’s great advantage to oppose all of those running until they can provide proof that their choices won’t be $$$$ influenced.

Heshy is wasting his time and has absolutely no chance of winning with 2 intelligent rational men also running.

I met him on 13th Avenue yesterday but told him, I have a strict policy to only sign forms to get President Donald Trump on election list, and shall not be making any exceptions to that long standing policy of mine.

I tried to look up his name in the dictionary but couldn’t find him. A wind blew the dictionary open to another page. I looked and saw the entry for “Chilul Hashem” and there was his picture!
