BROOKLYN (VINnews) — A Chassidic young man was viciously attacked on Friday night, just for being Jewish.

According to the NYPD, a group of six thugs brutally assaulted the 21-year-old victim in front of 5 Gerry St. in Williamsburg, punching and kicking him without any “prior words or provocation.” The attack took place around 8 PM.
A 16-year-old was arrested on Shabbos afternoon and charged with gang assault and hate-crime assault, however five others remain free.

The victim did not interact with the attackers prior to the assault. He was forced to the ground, and was later treated by an ambulance for minor injuries to his mouth.
