On Monday, Dr. Vladimir Zelenko posted a video of himself on social media, in which he gave an update on his health situation.

Unfortunately, Dr. Zelenko said that a tumor has been discovered in his right ventricle, which is the lower right chamber of the heart. Sitting on top of the tumor is a blood clot, which can be extremely dangerous.
The treatment protocol is to use blood thinners to try to dissolve the clot, and then he and his medical team will need to figure out how best to treat the tumor.
Dr. Zelenko said, “To be frank, if the clot breaks off, that is a ticket to the next world.”
In addition, other tumors are present around the lower left lobe in his lung.
Despite the grim diagnosis and dire circumstances, Dr. Zelenko said that he is in “a very good state of mind.”
He said, “As King David writes [in Tehillim], ‘Even as I walk through the Valley of Death I shall fear no evil. In addition, there is a Talmudic teaching: ‘Even if the sword is on your neck a person should never give up hope [from Hashem’s mercy].’”
“As I have frequently said, they are going to need to carry me off the battlefield…my resolve to help humanity and help the vulnerable decent people overcome the terrible darkness and plague upon us.”
