On Sunday the artist’s (last name Zigelbaum) Facebook page posted a photo of Yoni in a hospital bed wearing tefillin. The post said: “Update: Baruch Hashem, Yoni is in COMPLETELY stable condition! There seem to have been media outlets that misspoke. The doctors are absolutely certain he will G-d willing make a full recovery. Our family and Yoni cannot thank everyone enough for the tremendous support and continue to keep him in your tefilos. Thank you!”

(The post does not specify which media outlets “misspoke”.)

On Motzei Shabbos, Yoni’s Brother wrote on Facebook that Yoni endured a bad vespa accident during what was meant to be a 24 hr visit to Rome before continuing to Israel to promote the new album. He suffered 7 fractures throughout his body.

Please continue to daven and say Tehillim for Yonatan ben Sigalit.

It’s been quite a long time, but I could imagine the driving habits in Rome haven’t changed since then. I also drove around with a motor scooter, albeit a Lambretta instead of a Vespa. In Rome, a red light means absolutely nothing. Not just like NY where people race to get through a yellow light even after it just turned red. In Rome, car motor bikes, etc. just keep on going on red and sometimes just proceed straight on red like here in America we turn right on red. Rome traffic is one great big mess (it’s like their justice system).
