JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Participants at two weddings were astonished after a drone was seen hovering above the Gerrer Rebbe during the ceremonies.

According to Kikar Shabbos, the Rebbe attended a family wedding at the Gutnick Hall in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
When he arrived at the chuppah the participants suddenly noticed a drone in the air that appeared to be monitoring the chuppah and perhaps the Rebbe.
Then as the Rebbe headed to another Gerrer wedding nearby, the same drone hovered above him once again.
Several Gerrer chassidim attempted to follow the drone’s movements, and they say that it appeared to land in an open area on the other end of the neighborhood. While they could not ascertain who was flying the drone, they believe that it was intended to cause personal harm to the Rebbe.
According to the Israeli website, several weeks ago when the Rebbe and Rebbetzin visited a Bais Hakvaros in Kiryat Shaul in Tel Aviv, they were observed by an overhead drone as they exited their vehicle.
Following that incident, violent riots ensued on Shabbos by the Rebbe’s followers, and they breached the Bais Medrash of Rav Shaul Alter shlit”a. According to reports, in addition to the drone, the Rebbe had been approached in the cemetery by a couple whose daughters were lured away from them.
Let’s analyze:
Side 1- Barbarically beats men and women on Shabbos, Tells children their parents are evil in order to make them run away from home, breaks bottles into people’s faces, perpetuates a climate of oppression and fear by essentially making friends, neighbors, and children potential “informers”, tears families apart by telling people they will be ostracized if they as much as go to a nephews’s wedding, pushes and shoves Talmeidei Chachamim and Dayanim, etc.
Side 2- Flies a typical photographer’s drone that any child can buy in a toy store a few hundred feet over the other side’s rebba.
It could’ve been from a newspaper taking photos and no one would’ve said anything.
Instead we have a desperate attempt by the evil empire to create a false equivalence, to pretend both sides are somewhat equal in hurting each other. To somehow portray a drone flying near a wedding of one of the women most responsible for the two girls being brainwashed and leaving their parents – This woman is one of the prime inciters on the Ger Women’s Phone hotline that constantly call for hatred and refer to former friends and neighbors of your average gerrer in Israel as apikorsim and beyond the pale (And as we saw a few weeks ago, deserving of brutal near-death attack)- as a terrible attack. None of us normal people watching fall for this anymore. Davening for the pressure and ostracization to build up against Ger so that they will stop.
(Incidentally, if the rebba is so holy as to be on the level of Hashem – As stated by one of their mashpi’im- why didn’t the drone burst into flames? If Yonason Ben Uziel could do it, there’s no reason the Potentate can’t)

Not sure what the big fuss is about. There was a drone and… ? I think there are a few unhealthy people surrounding the Rebbe. It sounds like paranoia.

There are weekly publication of events by Rebbes. Photographers use drones. Probably the Gerrer Rebbe is now more sought after due to the progroms conducted under his leadership against his cousin,
If it was of such concern they should have shot it down.

This article is absolute junk. Drones don’t cause harm. Either it’s a kid fooling around or a drone enthusiast that wants to capture cool footage of a large Jewish event. Pathetic Article.
