In recent days, Ringel has been meeting with community leaders and voters across the district who have expressed their deep appreciation for his tireless work on behalf of the community in city government.

Ringel is well known in the Borough Park and Flatbush communities ever since he became community liaison to former Councilman and now-State Senator Simcha Felder in 2001. He then served as Director for Jewish Outreach in the office of Public Advocate and in the past nine years in City Hall – first at the Administration for Children’s Services and later as Assitant Commissioner of the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit.

He always had an open ear to every individual who reached out for help and worked tirelessly to protect the community’s religious rights in the most challenging times.

The enthusiasm about Ringel moving to a new position that would empower the community on a political level has been evident by the board support he is receiving on the campaign trail.

Ringel has locked in endorsements from all major Chassidic sects and school administrators in Borough Park and the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition that represents the greater Flatbush Jewish Community.

He has also been endorsed by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is very popular in the Jewish community, and leaders of the Muslim American community in the district.

District Leaders are volunteer positions but are of great importance to our community. They select candidates for judgeships in Civil and Supreme Court and serve as a member of the county party’s executive committee, which votes for the party’s leadership. Ringel has a proven record of maintaining positive working relationships with politicians and government officials, which makes him uniquely qualified for this position.

The primary is on Tuesday, June 28. Polls are open from 6 am to 9 pm.
