IRS Admits it Will Unfairly Discriminate Against Wealthy and Upper Class

WASHINGTON DC (Yaakov M / VINnews) — In a stunning admission, the IRS has insinuated that it will unfairly target the wealthy.

Following intense criticism for its decision to hire 87,000 new IRS agents, the Biden administration suggested that high-income earners will be disproportionately targeted by audits.

However people earning less than $400,000 a year will not suffer a similar fate.

In a tweet Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen wrote: “In my letter today, I again affirmed that any additional resources—including any new personnel or auditors that are hired—shall not be used to increase the share of small businesses or households below the $400,000 threshold that are audited, relative to historical levels.”

The clear implication is that the new auditors will increase the share of wealthy people who get targeted. This seems like blatant discrimination.

Are the wealthy more likely to cheat on taxes? Furthermore, if middle income earners are suspected of tax fraud, why should they not be audited?

If the IRS were acting fairly, it would disperse audits toward everyone equally, regardless of income bracket.

Commentator Yossi Gestetner responded to Yellen: “If #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw, why do the new IRS enforcement resources apply only for better earners? If it’s not the law, why the need for this memo? Finally, who if anyone in the WH directed you to interfere in the “independence” of the IRS?”

Mr. Gestetner also observed that Secretary Yellen’s protection of those who earn under $400,000 is clearly being orchestrated by the White House. President Biden has pledged dozens of times to protect taxpayers earning under $400,000.

The IRS is supposed to be independent, and not an arm of the West Wing. However that is clearly not the case.

If this were President Trump, the Democrats and mainstream media would be having a meltdown. However since they too are just an arm of the White House, don’t expect to hear an outcry about the fact that Biden is essentially dictating who gets audited and who does not.

This is parody right? Why is YG getting upset about this announcement? YG supposedly represents the interests of the frum community. Most people in the frum community are making less than 400k so I would think this announcement would be welcomed.

Of course they will target big incomes because that’s where the money is?
Why devote hours a work to audit the poor shlump who earns $50,000 and only reports $30,000 when the potential recovery doesn’t even cover the agency’s cost?

The lowest earners should be targeted, too, for benefits fraud.

I think what the IRS is doing makes perfect sense. When you go fishing, you go after the big fish.

These people think Trump is Moshiach. Well Shabbtai Tzvi was corrupt to the core, an adulterer, a rapist, a shmad monster and a lying sack of garbage, too. No accounting for Jews who love fascists and lie about our government. They must be 1%ers who are gonna get caught cheating like their Moshiach.
