Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Visits Ramat Migron, Decries Selective Enforcement Against Jewish Outposts

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Security forces in the Binyamin region recently razed the Ramat Migron outpost for the third time in weeks – at the same time as Arabs from the nearby village continue to build illegally without any disturbance. Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu came to give support to the residents of the outpost, which is situated just 5 km north of Jerusalem, and decried the double standards of the Defense Ministry.

Rabbi Eliyahu said that “I arrived here in Ramat Migron and despite the fact that there are a number of demolished houses I sense the smell of Gan Eden. I have come here to be strengthened by your love of the land and strength of character. With G-d’s help you will win this campaign. You should know that Tzefat was also built in this manner and Jerusalem as well, it wasn’t easy. They also had internal and external enemies but they prevailed in the end.

Rabbi Eliyahu attacked the selective enforcement in Judea and Samaria: “It is written that “Zion will be redeemed with justice and its returnees with Tzedakah. Justice is true jurisdiction but whoever is here at Ramat Migron can see that those who are supposed to be the forces of justice have destroyed these homes three times while the Arabs around here build freely and do not encounter enforcement. Nobody touches them or talks to them. There is one law for Jews and another for Arabs, Arabs are permitted and Jews forbidden to build.

“The halacha says that such justice is not justice, and the same is true of Dina De’Malchusa- if you see that the legal system is skewing justice like here, there is no concept of Dina De’Malchusa. On this it is written: “The place of justice is the place of evil” Sometimes the judiciary system can be so evil that it must be reproached. This is why I am coming to strengthen the sweet Jews of Ramat Migron who represent justice.”

In a related development, MK Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism) sent a letter to Defense Minister Gantz stating “in order to prevent the impression of selective enforcement, can we know how many closed military zones were established in the last year to prevent Palestinian seizure of state lands.”
