JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The ongoing tensions between Israel and Russia over the Ukraine war have escalated recently, with Russia curtailing all the Jewish Agency’s activities in Russia and making it almost impossible for the organization to function there. However according to a a report by Israeli radio reporter Gili Cohen, a senior Russian official is now claiming in a statement widely published in Russian media outlets that Chabad’s activities in Ukraine are “cultish”.

The assistant to Russia’s National Security Director wrote that Ukraine had to undergo “de-Satanization” and stressed that Chabad’s members are a cult who believe they are superior to all other races. Chabad’s Russian sector criticized the statements, saying that this was a “modern blood libel” which could lead to their activities in Russia being harmed.
Chabad has very broad activities in Russia, which until now have enjoyed stability and freedom and had very good ties with the Kremlin. However in the wake of these statements Chabad are concerned that they may become a pawn in the deteriorating relations between Russia and Israel.
Is there a difference between Chabad-Lubavitch in Ukraine and elsewhere? They all believe in their Tanya, and their late Rebbeh.
well it is kind of a cult
but they do a lot of good with their cult activities
ANd they are yiddishe neshomos besides
If Christians and Catholics are a cult, then yes, the current Chabad is too.
Is that why Baghdad Bob told the lemechels that Russia sent drones towards Uman on Rosh Hashanah?
Good for them; this is divine payback, beginning, for discouraging Jews of Russia from emigrating to Israel.
Chabad has helped many yidden . They are beloved by HASHEM! How many Yidden have you gotten to commit to put on Tefilin daily? Or light Shabbos candles? Or just connecting them to HASHEM. But somehow whenever you go on vacation where there are Shluchim in far out countries, you eat their food and daven in their Shuls. How many Yidden that are struggling from frum families, that have lost their way, chabad is there for them. They disconnected from their original roots unfortunately, won’t talk to their families, but will feel comfortable trying out Shabbos again with a chabad Shluchim family. All of you who berate chabad are no different than the rabid anti semite. I’m surprised that this website posts such anti semitic comments
im sure many litvaks will disagree
