NEW YORK (VINnews) — No shock. In 2022, the New York Times’ reporting indisputably showed an anti-Israel bias, as well as “consistent omission of information regarding threats Israel faced.”

Not only is the newspaper biased against Israel when compared to neutral countries, but even when contrasted with its coverage on Iran.
That conclusion comes from a new study by a Bar-Ilan University professor and a journalist from Ma’ariv newspaper.
The study found 20 negative opinion pieces about Israel compared to 13 against the evil regime of Iran.
The negative coverage of Israel increased from 53% during the first 10 months of 2022, to 68% after Benjamin Netanyahu was re-elected prime minister. National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir was referred to 20 times along with the word “terrorist” while Hamas terrorist leader Yahya Sinwar was only mentioned twice in that context.
The survey also says that the Times claimed that most Palestinians killed were non-involved citizens, while the Israeli military said the majority were terrorists.
Israeli journalist Lilac Sigan conducted the study in collaboration with Professor Eytan Gilboa of Bar-Ilan, monitoring the coverage of Israel in the New York Times in 2022.
Sigan chose Times since it has “ a long-standing reputation for professionalism. That’s why the findings are so disturbing.”
“Apart from the immediate effect on the image and status of Israel, the coverage continuously distorts the reality in Israel and in the region, in a way that affixes a false perception for future generations. This affects Israel’s ties with large parts of the American public, and especially with American Jews. The reader receives only partial facts from the news outlet, which paints a dark and monochromatic picture. This is disturbing, distorting and dangerous,” Sigan said.
The report also found that Hezbollah was mentioned in only 4 headlines (of which 1 was negative), and Hamas in 2 headlines (of which 1 was negative).
Not sure why anyone is shocked. The NYT can’t deny it as they have made it their mission to promote hatred of Jews. This actually matches their other mission of pushing a woke immortal agenda that the left peddles. They aren’t happy with just being gays, lesbians, anti-American, etc. they want to force this way of life on everyone else as well.
The NYT are propagandists for the democratic party and the terrorists, they have always sided with the left from covering for stalin, covering for hitler, covering for mao and covering for the terrorists.
