Terrorists Suspected Of Murdering IDF Soldier Ido Baruch Apprehended In Shechem After Firefight

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — IDF forces as well as Shin Bet operatives and police units collaborated Monday in an arrest operation in Shechem in which the terrorists suspected of murdering Staff Sergeant Ido Baruch were apprehended.

Baruch was conducting a security patrol near the community of Shavei Shomron when he was shot and killed on October 11,2022 (16 Tishrei 5783). The terrorists fled the scene.

In the rescue operation, the combined security forces caught terrorists Obkamel Guri and Asama Tuille, from (Shechem) who allegedy carried out the shooting attack during which Staff Sergeant Ido Baruch was killed.

The forces also apprehended three additional suspects who were with the terrorists.

Since the attack, the Shin Bet concentrated intelligence and other operational efforts in order to locate a hideout apartment where the terrorists were hiding. On Sunday night the forces reached the hideout apartment and after an exchange of fire the suspects were injured and arrested by the IDF forces. Two M-16 rifles used by the terrorists were also confiscated. There were no IDF injuries in the operation.
