A community member who knows one of the victims said she believes the Jewish community is being targeted.
Police said the suspect in Wednesday’s shooting was an Asian man who fired a gun twice and fled the scene.
Community member Yossi Elifort, founder of Magen Am, a private community watch group, was quoted by Fox News, saying, “It is deeply concerning that in today’s Los Angeles, Jews have been shot in the street in two days, as they were leaving prayers. Regardless of the motivation of the shootings, Jews deserve to be secure, living and serving G-d in peace.”
Neither suspect is in custody, police said. If anyone has information about either shooting, please call 310-444-0701 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-527-3247.
