JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A resident of the Sharon region was arrested on charges of making threats and inciting after he was documented on social media sites calling to murder the prime minister and his family and expressing hatred towards chareidim.

Petah Tikva police received notice of the 70-year-old man’s statements and arrested him for interrogation. He was released under restrictive conditions.

The man was heard saying “some people have to die, I want blood to be spilt, I hope they throw some grenades so that there will be chaos, they should kill someone, that’s the only way that they will understand.”

He went on to curse Prime Minister Netanyahu, his wife and son and said “we have to kill them, we have to kill them, guys.”

Continuing his rant, the man said that regarding charedim “there is a train line nearby with cables, let them hang by their Tefillin from here to Bnei Brak. Today I hate everyone wearing a kippah. They caused this. I can’t stand the religious people, they are *expletive”. They brought me to a situation where I hate every kippah wearer, I’m sorry to say.”

In recent weeks a number of public figures have called to attack Netanyahu, with former pilot Zeev Raz stating that he “deserves to die” and invoking the rule of Rodeif and Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai calling for violent action against the premier.
