Captain Gregory Staffordsmith of the Lakewood Police Department said that the incident took place shortly before 9:30 this morning at the store, located at 945 River Avenue.

The suspect, later identified as 24 year old Christopher Borker, was delivering supplies to the store and argued with a store employee after being told that the u-boat he was taking was already in use.

Borker announced that he was going to get a gun and shoot store employees and attempted to hit at least one Evergreen worker as he drove through the parking lot.

Video posted to social media shows a white box truck bearing the words “Freunds Fish” on its doors driving past the store’s Pesach tent at a high rate of speed and then looping back around to the same spot, with people in the parking lot scrambling for safety.

Borker was arrested by police and is expected to be charged with terroristic threats and aggravated assault, in addition to being issued a summons for reckless driving. While the investigation is still underway, police said that it does not appear that the incident was motivated by race or religion.

A customer service representative at Evergreen declined to speak about the incident, while a manager at Freund’s Fish hung up the phone when asked to comment on the matter.

See? Even the delivery drivers are under stress before Pesach. Much a do about nothing really. Maybe next time the employee in the store or store manager should find an available U-boat for the driver, so he could deliver his stuff and get on his way.

Something’s fishy about this story. What’s a u boat btw other than a submarine?
