ISRAEL (VINnews) — An Israeli diplomat is being decimated on Twitter, after he spread vicious lies about Charedim on social media.

Raphael Schutz, Diplomat at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posted a video clip of a group of Charedim who appear to be walking in the Old City. The group appeared to spit on the floor as they passed by a certain person.
Schutz falsely claimed that the Jews were spitting at nuns of color and accused them of racism. He tweeted, “Deeply appalled by this disgusting behaviour. As Jews we rightly ask others to fight antisemitism. We cannot and shouldn’t accept similar racist attitudes from Jews. Zero tolerance.”
However the fact is, they were spitting in response to a vicious antisemite who sickeningly said “Heil Hitler” and performed a Nazi salute as they passed. Not only was Schutz spreading vicious lies about fellow Jews, he was used as a tool by Jew-haters, who were hoping to evoke this exact response, to use as propaganda.
Multiple Twitter users set the record straight and defended the Jews, including several apparent non-Jews. One even said the Charedim showed “restraint”.

Rabbi Yisroel Kahan of the New York Human Rights Commission tweeted, “He is NOT spitting at the nun. Rather, at the person saying Heil Hitler and making the Nazi salute.”
Another Jewish Twitter user replied, “What the video fails to show is a person nearby raising his hand to a Nazi salute & saying “He*l H^tler” to which one of the men spat at the ground & not at a nun. The haters turn this around & use it as propaganda against the most lied about country on the planet & u fall for it.”
As of the publishing of this story, Schutz has not apologized, retracted, or deleted his tweet.

We ought not to believe what we see. Nowadays these new systems can fake text, photos or even short videos. That being said, it seem this fellow likes to spit at women on the street.
