JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Rummaging through some items she had kept on her camera’s memory pad, Devorah Paley, the mother of Asher Menahem and Yaakov Yisrael HyD who were murdered in a ramming attack in February, came across a short clip of her two sons which comforted and delighted her.

In the clip, Yaakov Yisrael asks to sit in the place of his brother, who after thinking for a second willingly relinquishes his seat to his brother. Devorah wrote of this that: “In a half-minute clip you caused me so much joy and nachas…what an eternal souvenir of giving in – a value we tried to instill in our children and in you. Yaakov is at the forefront and Asher gives in with a smile…the situation proves that you were good children. This clip, which by amazing providence was found now, during Sefiras Ha’Omer, can be a very powerful paradigm for all of us.
“Even when we sometimes argue and don’t get on, these are the pictures Hashem wants to see, we need to perpetuate these situations as this is why He loves us so much.”
