Nobody should be surprised. If the Swedish Government stood by while Korans were being burned , why would they stop a Sefer Torah, Lehavidil, from being burned?
The same can be said of the proposed head covering bans in France. Once we endorse banning the muslim hijab, Can yarmulkas or tichels be far behind ?

How clueless is he? The Torah (the Old Testament) is just as Holy to Christians as to Jews. Where did Jesus preach from? The Torah.
I have to point out that he’s smiling as he says this. And he goes on to get political about it, completely overlooking the desecration of Gods name.
