(VINnews) — The NY Post has published a scathing op-ed, slamming the Associated Press for attempting to blame Governor Ron DeSantis for a racist murder in Florida.

In an op-ed entitled, “AP’s abhorrent slander that DeSantis is somehow to blame for a racist killing”, the Post observed that there is “no bottom” that the mainstream media outlet will not sink to.
It referenced what it labeled the AP’s “DeSantis is a murderer thesis”, and said the AP is guilty of a “disgusting charge.”
The AP story, entitled “Florida Gov. Ron Desantis Faces Black Leaders’ Anger After Racist Killings in Jacksonville”, essentially accused the popular Republican governor of causing the tragic murders of three blacks in Jacksonville. It quoted a black leader who accused DeSantis of pushing a narrative that is “anti-black.” Tim Scott and Nikki Haley were mentioned in the AP piece as well.
(It must be mentioned that the racist triple murder was an unspeakable and horrific tragedy, which should never be politicized in any way.)
Here are several excerpts from the AP article, which disguises itself as a news story but reads like an opinion piece:
“DeSantis is leading his state through the aftermath of a racist attack that left three African Americans dead. Black leaders in Florida — and across the nation — say they’re outraged by his actions and rhetoric ahead of the shooting. “Gov. DeSantis has created and pushed a narrative of division and hate that is anti-Black,” said Rev. Jeffrey Rumlin.
“The tragedy cast a shadow across the Republican presidential campaign this week as candidates faced uncomfortable questions about the party’s increasing appeal among white supremacists and the GOP’s fight against so-called “woke” policies on race and gender. While DeSantis has not mentioned his “war on woke” in recent days, cultural issues have been the centerpiece of his campaign.”
In response, the Post op-ed piece begins : “How low will the Democrat-supporting media go in attacking Republicans? The Associated Press demonstrates there is no bottom.”
It continues: “An AP article with two “journalists” on the byline… and three more reporters noted at the bottom of the piece, openly accuses Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis of causing the racial killings in Jacksonville.”
It adds, “the piece vaguely refers to “rhetoric” that motivated the shooter but does not provide any examples of it at all because, obviously, there are none.”
The op-ed added, “The far-left NAACP and various Florida Democrats all weighed in to support the “DeSantis is a murderer” thesis. It’s a disgusting charge and part of a pattern of this kind of behavior from the left.”
It said, “DeSantis is a target because he has been massively successful in Florida and his policies have garnered him an increase in the black vote in the last election. Democrats in the Sunshine State are in disarray, and their desperation comes across in blaming the governor for this racist shooting.”
The article continued, “And it’s not just AP. Matt Dixon, largely a stenographer for the Democratic Party in Florida, echoed the same blame game in a piece for NBC News: “Ron DeSantis’ policies toward the Black community are coming under fresh scrutiny.”
Sadly, this is merely the latest in a decades-long pattern of AP bias against conservatives and Republicans. It notoriously has a long history of slamming Israel as well.
The AP is a primary news source for hundreds of millions of people, however in reality, it spreads vicious, dangerous leftist propaganda.
The AP pretends to be a neutral, fair news agency. In reality, it is bankrolled by millions of dollars from activist left-wing foundations; its “reporting” reflects the bidding of the leftists who pay the paychecks.
You can’t trust a word the AP says. Not one word.
The AP just reported what 30+ Florida politicians and leaders said about DeSantis laying the groundwork of hate, leading to this triple murder of Blacks there. The AP reported it as news, as it doesn’t do editorials.
Has President Trump made a statement yet about these killings?
