In an unprecedented and cowardly act of terrorism, tens and maybe over a hundred of its citizens were taken into captivity by Hamas terrorists during their surprise assault on Israel Saturday. The captives -many of whom had lost family members – suffered degradation, physical assaults and insults on their way to captivity. The oldest apparent captive, an 85-year-old woman, was taken into captivity on a buggy, while young children were also brought to Gaza together with their parents. One searing image of a girl being dragged from the rave party at Re’im to captivity was featured on the front page of many world news outlets, as shocked countries noted the cruelty of the Hamas terrorists towards Israeli citizens.

Additionally, a German Christian tattoo artist named Shani Louk was apparently murdered or seriously injured and her half-naked body paraded in Gaza by bloodthirsty terrorists who spat on her and cursed her. Many in EDISON/HIGHLAND PARK have relatives in ISRAEL. I ask the mayors and other politicians to speak out against HAMAS. I have my children, grandchildren, NEPHEW and cousins living in ISRAEL. SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN. Iran orchestrated this.
