JERUSALEM (VINnews) — During the course of Saturday night and Sunday morning, IDF special forces continued to mop up terrorist resistance in various southern communities. One of the main conflict locations was Kibbutz Beeri, where some 50 kibbutz members were being held hostage by Hamas terrorists. The special forces negotiated with the terrorists and then stormed and rescued all of them while eliminating the terrorists. Five of the special forces unit were injured lightly to moderately in the incident.

At the same time, negotiations were taking place at a hostage scene in the town of Ofakim, where terrorists had barricaded in a house with civilians. Special forces succeeded in storming the house and rescuing the captives while eliminating the terrorists but several officers were injured, one seriously.

During the morning hours, IDF forces continued to engage terrorists in various communities around the Gaza strip, including the villages of Yated and Kfar Aza. Fighting is still also reported in Kibbutz Beeri, where a number of terrorists are still active, as well as in Kibbutz Magen. There are apparently still some hostages in these locations.

On Sunday morning the IDF eliminated a group of seven terrorists who attempted to infiltrate from the sea into Israel. Several terrorists also took a car and began driving northwards towards Ashdod before they were eliminated by IDF forces.

In Sderot, a central battle scene on Saturday, IDF forces blew up the police station and eliminated 10 terrorists hiding inside. Tens of police were killed in Sderot during a fierce battle with terrorists at the police station.

The IDF estimates that it has eliminated 400 terrorists since the beginning of the operation.

Do not worry about losing the first battle. Concern yourself with winning the last battle.

Davar Pashut – the Aibeshter alein runs the world. No army can protect if it’s been decided. We can’t understand why.

They lapsed while the whole country was still observing holidays. They were unprepared and taken by surprise when it should have been exactly the opposite.

400 hundred terrorists eliminated, but how many remain? They have a very well trained army and intelligence working in their favor and we only have bleeding heart liberals working against us.
