JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Despite Israel’s attempts to keep its northern border quiet, Hezbollah has continued its attacks and infiltration attempts over the last week, seeking to open another front in Israel’s war with Hamas.

Early Tuesday morning, IDF observation troops spotted a terrorist squad attempting to infiltrate the security fence with Lebanon and plant a explosive device. Four terrorists were eliminated in the incident.

In response, Hezbollah fired an anti-tank missile towards the border town of Metulla. According to unconfirmed reports, an Israeli Merkava tank was targeted in the attack. Three people were injured, one moderately and two in light condition. IDF forces responded with fire towards Hezbollah positions.

On Monday evening, around 6:00 p.m., shots were fired toward several IDF posts along the Lebanese border. In addition, an anti-tank missile was fired at an IDF tank. No IDF injuries were reported, and the IDF responded with artillery fire toward the origins of the fire. Hezbollah took responsibility for the attacks.
