Through all the darkness and struggle, there is unprecedented brightness and Kiddush Hashem as well.
Rabbi Shmuel Reichman tweeted: “Israeli TV anchor from Channel 14, Sharon Gal, asks a guest to borrow his kippah in order to recite a blessing to thank God for freeing a soldier that was held hostage in Gaza.
A few months ago, Israel was on the verge of a civil war, revolving around the religious identity of Israel (or the lack thereof).
Now, after 3 weeks of existential awakening, we’re seeing non-religious Jews all over Israel connect to their Jewish roots in the most profound and inspiring of ways.”
This took place on Arutz 14, which I watch every day over the internet. All panelists on this network are on the right security-wise, and all are either Frum or Frum-friendly. So while what is seen in this clip is very nice, this is not an example of someone who used to despise the frum and has been transformed by recent events.
I hope he buys a kipppah
Kiddush Shem Shomayim, in the literal and full sense of the word. Beautiful
Interesting how fast the non Frum reporter jumped to recognize HKB”H. To say thank you. No, I’m not insinuating anything against the Frum reporter. I’m just pointing out the change amongst the non Frum toward and recognizing HKB”H in the world.
