In recent developments, Israeli soldiers encountered an ambush by Hamas terrorists, resulting in a firefight. The soldiers from the Golani Infantry Brigade’s Battalion 13 faced an intense and chaotic close combat situation. The Hamas gunmen emerged from tunnels and used anti-tank missiles, mortars, and drones in their attack on the Israeli troops. They even attempted to take control of armored personnel carriers. However, IDF ground troops, supported by air and artillery strikes, successfully repelled the attack, resulting in the elimination of 20 terrorists, while around 10 managed to escape. Fortunately, no Israeli casualties were reported in this incident.
Soldiers from the IDF’s 36th Armored Division have also been actively engaged in operations against Hamas. They have eliminated numerous terrorists and conducted airstrikes on various Hamas targets, including weapons manufacturing and storage facilities, anti-tank missile launching posts, and UAV launching posts.
Furthermore, Israeli army engineers initiated a significant operation to destroy Hamas tunnels within areas of the Gaza Strip under Israeli military control. This operation involves specialized units responsible for mine-clearing and tunnel destruction. Robots and explosive devices are being employed to demolish tunnels, neutralize booby traps, and eliminate terrorists. The operation also includes examining tunnel shafts to determine if any lead to Gaza City, the heart of Hamas.
IDF troops have already destroyed approximately 100 tunnels used by Hamas for various purposes.
Additionally, Hamas has resorted to using approximately 100 women and children as human shields during battles with Israeli forces. In one specific incident, they deployed civilians in their Central Jabaliya Battalion compound. The IDF remains prepared for such cases of Hamas using the civilian population as shields.
In the broader context, the IDF took control of the Hamas stronghold in northern Gaza, resulting in the elimination of the commander of the Jabaliya Battalion and a significant number of other terrorists.

The real danger is the underground tunnels and bunkers where Hamas stores their weapons and hides. The IDF must TOTALLY destroy ALL underground tunnels and bunkers. If not they will continue to try to kill us!
