JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Shai Asher doesn’t strike one at first as a tough, sharpshooting soldier. Portly, balding and middle-aged, he looks more like the family man he would probably usually want to be. But the circumstances of October 7th left him and his two buddies from the local guard facing tens of terrorists. Asher suddenly morphed into a warrior, chasing and harrying the terrorists on the kibbutz and forcing them to fight rather than commit the massacre they wanted.

With incredible bravery Asher and his friends Saar and Yossi confronted the terrorists (due to the terrorists blocking cellular transmission the rest of the 15-man local guard did not join them) and succeeded in eliminating many of them. Here is their story: (Note mistaken translation: terrorist did not pick up a knife, he picked up a Kalashnikov!)
