The attack occurred at 7:40 AM, a time when the bus stop is full of people waiting to leave Jerusalem to various destinations. A 24-year-old woman, a 73-year-old man, and an additional victim were murdered in the attack.
Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that five additional victims were moderately injured. Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center have received eight victims who were evacuated from the scene. Two of the victims suffered light injuries, one suffered moderate injuries, and five suffered serious injuries.
Hadassah Eiin Kerem reported that the hospital received three victims: a man of 56 in moderate condition; a woman of 22 in moderate condition; and a boy of 17 who suffered light injuries. All three are fully conscious.
The scene of the attack is the same bus stop where exactly a year ago, in November 2022, an explosive device went off, killing a 15-year-old American citizen from Har Nof.

Surveillance camera footage shows the two terrorists arriving at the scene by vehicle and opened fire at point-blank range at passersby, using a pistol and an M-16 automatic weapon. People can be seen fleeing the scene as the terrorists shoot at them. An off-duty soldier who had returned home from Gaza for a brief furlough eliminated the terrorists.
Weapons used in terrorist attack
The terrorists, Murad and Ibrahim Nimr, two brothers aged 38 and 30 from the Jerusalem’s Arab neighborhood of Tzur Baher, were eliminated by two soldiers and a civilian. IDF forces raided their homes and arrested family members. Both terrorists had served periods in Israeli jails for their previous terrorist activity. It should also be noted that Israel returned 10 terrorists to the Tzur Baher neighborhood during the prisoner exchanges which have been taking place over the past week.
