NEW YORK (VINnews) — A shocking new survey claims that a majority of young Americans said they believe Israel should “be ended and given to Hamas.” The statistic is even more disturbing given that 81% of these Americans said they were giving “very close” or “somewhat close” attention to the war in Israel.

The survey, conducted last week by Harvard-Harris polling, found that 51% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 said they believed the long-term answer to the Israel-Palestinian conflict was for “Israel to be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians,” according to a New York Post report.
Only 32% said they believed in a two-state solution, and just 17% said other Arab states should be asked to absorb Palestinian populations.
These results were in stark contrast to other age groups, which almost unanimously preferred a two-state solution. Just 4% of Americans 65 and over said they felt Israel should be ended.
“These individuals siding with evil over democracy should be a wake-up call,” Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kansas) told The New York Post. “Ideological rot among young Americans, driven by woke values and victim culture, has gotten so bad they’ve convinced themselves to sympathize with actual terrorists who hate America.”
A full 60% of the same demographic said Hamas’ Oct 7 terrorist attack could be “justified by the grievance of Palestinians” — a position held by just 27% of Americans overall.
At the same time, 58% of 18-24 year olds agreed that “Hamas would like to commit genocide against the Jews in Israel.”
When asked if “Israel is committing genocide against those in Gaza or is it just trying to defend itself and eliminate Hamas,” 60% of Americas age 18-24 said Israel was committing genocide —a view held by just 37% of Americans overall. Meanwhile 53% of young Americans said students should be free to call for the “genocide of jews” without consequences – a call which recently led to senate hearings with heads of leading universities in the US.
A full 67% of 18-24 year olds said they believed Jews “should be treated as oppressors” — a position which 73% of Americans disagreed with and called a “false ideology.”
More than four out of five Americans said they stood with Israel over Hamas — among those 18-24 the result was a dead even 50-50.
Americans of all ages said they were tuned into the conflict, with 69% telling the survey they were paying “very close” or “somewhat close” attention. That figure rose to 81% for Americans 18-24, a worrying statistic considering their pro-Hamas affiliations.
The findings confirm earlier studies showing that young Americans were among the most pro-Hamas. A full 57% of American Muslims have said they believe Hamas’ attack against Israel was justified, according to polling from Cygnal taken shortly after the massacre.
“The truth is that false narratives have been allowed to fester and sink into large numbers of Generation Z students,” pollster Mark Penn said.

It’s not the disease, it’s a symptom. That many Americans have been indoctrinated with woke ideology. They don’t know what it means to “pay close attention” to a subject; they think that if they post #FreePalestine on a tiktok video they’re paying close attention. Their minds are diseased and they don’t know what they’re saying.
The Muslims, on the other hand, are outright evil.
So 49% of Americans are not vicious Antisemites, not bad.

How did the poll describe the words “Israel should be ended”?.
I bet most poeple choosing that option, meant Israel’s occupation over West Bank and Gaza should be ended.
The choice of answers and wording was poor.
A poll can be manipulated by who is asked and how is it asked. Why would anyone believe a poll named Harvard after what its president said about Jewish genocide.
How about vin ask the same questions I’ll bet the polling sample would lead to a different result
