UTAH (VINnews) — A group of four orthodox Jews, including Rabbis, greeted NBA player Kyrie Irving with Jewish pride signs at a basketball game Monday. However, Kyrie got security officials to force the men to put away the innocuous signs.

Rabbi Avremi Zippel of Utah decided to greet Irving, who has a history of antisemitic behavior, with signs that read, “I’m a Jew and I’m proud”.
According to Rabbi Zippel: “Kyrie saw the signs. At the 9:40 mark of the first quarter, he commented “no need to bring that to a game.”
He continued, “At the next timeout he went to Mavs security. Jazz officials came over and CHECKED OUR TICKETS. We were told to put the signs away. Weak sauce from so many…”

It seems quite outrageous that an NBA player would find a sign showing pride in Judaism offensive, and even more disturbing that the fans were forced by arena security to put them away.
In 2022, Irving shared a link to an anti-Jewish movie titled “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America” – filled with antisemitic disinformation.
At the time, former NBA star Charles Barkley slammed NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, who is Jewish, for not suspending Irving.
“I think Adam should have suspended him. First of all, Adam’s Jewish. You can’t take my $40 million and insult my religion,” Barkley said.
So, pro Hamas signs and slogans are okay. Standing up for Jews is not. Thank you Adam Silver.
Maybe if he had focused on playing instead of his hatred, he would have actually had an impact on the game. Mavs opponents should bring this group of Rabbis to every game.
That’s why we Jews should have nothing to do with anything Gentile whether it be sports movie music Etc they’ve made it abundantly clear that they hate us hate us hate us
Personally, I cannot see myself enjoying a sports or other entertainment event in these times.
OTOH, I’m not much of a sports fan and obviously not a theater person, and bh I don’t live a high pressure daily lifestyle from which I need such intense diversion in order to relax.
If you are proud of being a Jew, do more mitzvot and bring other Jews into becoming religious.
Signs are nothing but an imitation of the anti Israel protesters.
Kyre Irving is completely irrelevant. Compared to other NBA players, he is not even mediocre.
There was no need for this display . It simply gave him the publicity he seeks. He already had his 15 minutes of fame , why give this scoundrel any more ??
Adam silver is the eric adams of the NBA
We are suppose to be the people of the book and we act as the fools. We need to practice daily that even though we live in this great country the USA we are still in Golus. We were always hated and we will be hated up until Moshicah comes. Anti- Semitism is not something that we can make go away. And the more we will be the “in your face” mentality antagonizing non-Jews the more we will be hated.
Frum Jews have no business attending an NBA game (or MLB, NFL, HOCKEY, movies, broadway shows, concerts, etc)
Zol er gein in dererd, the sooner the better!!!!
Hisgarus Be’umos
For everyone’s information: the Magen David represents HaShem. The six pointed star refers to HaShem’s omnipresence ( eg: north, south, east, west, up, and down). Ask yourself who or what is the real and only Magen David? HaShem!!! Of course!!!
These proud Jews should have their tzitzis showing.
Don’t give oxygen to this choleria!
You should sue!
Oy, Kyrie, eleison….
Welcome to woke America. The uninformed “do- gooders” always see an oppressed and an oppressor without any merit or real knowledge. Israel is wealthy, white, and highly functional. Palestine despite Hamas in charge remains poor and third world so Kyrie hops on. Thinks he has credibility. Thinks he is some crusader. He’s a clueless milennial!
I heard he drinks his own urine
A basketball player has to focus on the game. The signs could take away his concentration.Would these signs really make someone more proud of being Jewish or bring someone who has problems with anti-Jewish feelings? Maybe better to speak with him personally.
I am rather surprised that in a huge crowd the key player could even see the signs. In fast, I wonder if he really did.
They should not have put the Magen David on there, because the implication of that changes the entire sign from an expression of religious pride in Judaism to instead an expression of political pride in the Zionist State (in addition to the stated text about the religion).
