(VIN Op-Ed / Duvi Honig) — Israel should not have to send the most brilliant minds to testify against the genocide accusations being presented by South Africa at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). In fact, it would be more impactful to send a 12 year old child to testify, as it would demonstrate how simple and obvious the attack on Jews really is.

This hearing is clearly an act of anti-Semitism, with South Africa acting as a legal arm for Hamas, a group responsible for physical harm against Jews. It is embarrassing that Israel even has to defend itself in this manner. UNRWA teachers have been glorifying Hamas’ actions, and testimonies from released hostages reveal the reality of the situation.
The fact that South Africa is partnering with Hamas, an organization that has been openly hostile to Israel and has murdered innocent Jews, shows that this accusation is nothing but a part of the ongoing propaganda war against the Jewish state.
The world should be holding a hearing against Iran, Hamas, Hizballah, and Syria for their actions, rather than attacking the Jewish state’s right to self-defense. It is clear that Jewish blood is considered cheap to the world, but we as Jews know it is too expensive for the Jewish people to be forced to march to our deaths again without standing up to protect ourselves and a child can spell all this out.
The fact that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is giving a platform to South Africa for accusing Israel of genocide is an a shock and a mockery to the Court, especially considering the historical context, the Oct 7th Holocaust and the ongoing call for murdering all Jews by Hamas.
Israel sending a child to defend the Jewish state at the ICJ would shed light on the reality and simplicity of the situation. We don’t need a rocket scientist to speak about the mass murdering of Jews and the celebration glorification of Hamas massacres in Palestinian schools and the use of human shields by Hamas. A child hostage can talk about the Physical and psychological warfare endured by Israeli hostages held by Palistinian Civilians. It’s not rocket science to share the recordings and videos of the perspective of innocent Palestinians who have suffered at the hands of Hamas and who know the truth about the organization’s actions and intentions.
Furthermore, no need for an adult to say this as any child could bring to the courts attention the Red Crosses denial of the Holocaust and the use of the ICJ by Hamas to further anti-Semitic agendas. A child can speak at (ICJ) about the persecution of the Jewish people throughout history and the ongoing attempts to extinguish the Jewish nation for thousands of years and identify this as another tactic. A 9 year old child can demonstrate to the (ICJ) the hypocrisy of the world in condemning the Jewish state for defending itself while turning a blind eye to the atrocities committed by Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syria.
Truthfully by appointing a child to Defend Israel at the (ICJ) it could serve as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of the Jewish people and help make a mockery of this pathetic case and how the world is holding Jews accountable for not marching to their deaths again quietly.
A child can show the courts how the Jewish Nation celebrates Chanakah & Purim every year despite the ongoing persecution and efforts to destroy us for thousands of years physically or Spiritually, we are here to stay.
Seriously? Does the world not remember that the Jewish people have faced persecution and attempts at annihilation throughout their history. From the Babylonian exile to the Spanish Inquisition to the Holocaust, Jews have been targeted and persecuted for thousands of years time and time again expelled from all the nations who are part of the UN claiming to want to protect us in our homeland but actually uniting to still want to destroy us. The situation at the (ICJ) is just another chapter in this long and painful history.
A Child can Highlight to the world how Jewish people have survived and will continue to stand strong as Hashem (G-D) is our protector.
A Child can call out the staggering display of hypocrisy of South Africa claiming to care about innocent civilians, while simultaneously welcoming and hosting a world known mass murderer.
South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, leading the suit against Israel in the International Court of Justice at Hague, hosted the leader of the RSF in Sudan, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo a man responsible for mass murders and the reigniting of the civil war in Sudan just a few months ago.
It is deeply concerning that South Africa, a country with its own history of oppression and injustice, would align itself with a leader like Dagalo and simultaneously advocate for the rights of Palestinians.
Their laughable accusations against Israel at the (ICJ) are baseless and absurd and should be responded with simplicity and the obvious. By Israel sending a 12-year-old child to be its defender at (ICJ) it will show the world how simple the situation is and make a mockery of our enemies exposing the simple anti-Semitic agenda behind these accusations. The child’s testimony would highlight the reality of the situation and the ongoing persecution of the Jewish people. It would serve as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of the Jewish people and a call to action for the world to stand against anti-Semitism. Israel must continue to defend itself and its people, and the world must stand with them in this endeavor “Saying Never Again!!”
