WHITE HOUSE (VINnews) — President Biden implored House Speaker Mike Johnson to bring the Senate funding bill, which would send billions to Israel and Ukraine, for a vote on the House floor, during a live address Tuesday at the White House.
Biden hardly mentioned the aid package’s funding for Israel, and spoke almost exclusively of the US’ need to support Ukraine and NATO allies. After focusing heavily on Ukraine and defeating Putin, at around the 3:10 mark, Biden briefly touched on funding for Israel, for about 5 seconds.
That was it.
“There’s no question that if the Senate bill was put on the floor in the House of Representatives, it would pass. It would pass,” Biden said. “The speaker knows that.”
He added, “I call on the speaker to let the full House speak its mind and not allow a minority of the most extreme voices in the House to block this bill even from being voted on. Supporting this bill is standing up to Putin, opposing it is playing into Putin’s hands.”
Biden then went on to slam Trump, seemingly one of his favorite activities.
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, among the 22 Republicans who voted for the bill, said he hoped the House would consider it.
“I hope the speaker will find a way to allow the House to work its will on the issue of Ukraine aid and the other parts of the bill as well,” McConnell said.
Johnson issued a statement before the Senate vote that faulted the bill for lacking any provisions to secure the southern border, suggesting he would not schedule a vote any time soon.

It’s a good thing that he didn’t mention Israel. Israel is and should be a no brainer that everyone agrees on and therefore no discussion is necessary.
Donald Trump will .
iirc, of the $95 billion, 60 is for ukraine, 12 is for israel, and 5 is for the palestinian authority. sleepy joe’s handlers know that the pro-israel crowd can do the math. it’s certainly better to resupply israel and not talk about it, than the other way around.
Wait, you mean the Republican-controlled House still has not voted on aid to Israel?
