The shooting attack occurred at about 12:40 PM. The terrorist came in his car apparently on his own and opened fire at people standing at the bus stop, a central location for those returning to central towns in Israel from the south.

A 20-year-old died of his injuries after arriving in hospital in critical condition. Another 20-year-old, 16-year-old and 65-year-old are in serious condition (one of them unfortunately has since passed away) and a 65-year-old woman is in moderate condition. A 52-year-old was lightly injured in a passing car and managed to reach the nearby community of Yad Binyamin.

Police are investigating the incident and estimate that there are no other terrorists involved in the attack. The terrorist is believed to be a resident of East Jerusalem.

I see in the Israeli public the most severe case of Stockholm syndrome
