In his first marriage, Rabbi Kushelevski married his first cousin Sarah, the daughter of Gateshead Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leib Gurwicz. The couple did not merit having children, and the Rebbetzin passed away in 2015. Rabbi Kushelevski founded the Heichal Hatorah yeshiva in 1981 and has been at the helm of the yeshiva for over 40 years.

In his second marriage, Rabbi Kushelevski married Rebbetzin Danieli, who had two children from a previous marriage and was in her late forties. The two married in the yeshiva in 2018.

Talmidim of Rabbi Kushelevski broke into spontaneous dances with the news that their beloved rosh yeshiva had become a father.
