The chasidim were returning from the tombs of Elazar and Itamar, located in the village of Awrata in Samaria, when for reasons as yet unknown the driver of their car lost control near Givat Assaf adjacent to Beit El, crashed through the security barrier and tumbled into the wadi nearby.

Large forces of Hatzalah and fire and rescue were alerted to the incident and succeeded in evacuating three injured people. A 16-year-old was in serious condition with head and chest trauma and two others in moderate condition, a 30-year-old with head and chest injuries and a 15-year-old with a head injury. Please daven for Dov Ben Sarah and Yosef Ben Bracha Leah.

The three others, aged around 20, were declared dead at the scene.

MDA Paramedic Nadav Taib said that “This was a very serious accident in which the car hit the barrier and fell into the wadi. When we arrived on scene, we found the car with significant damage and the injured men lying next to it. Three men of about 20 were unconscious and with no pulse or breathing. We performed medical tests but they were declared dead on scene.”
