Nasrallah: Charedim Are Religious, They Want To Study Torah And Not Enlist In IDF

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah demonstrated his proficiency in internal Israeli politics when he referred to the words of Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef. The Sephardi chief rabbi said in his weekly Torah shiur that if the charedim are forced to enlist in the IDF, they will move abroad.

Nasrallah spoke Wednesday evening and said that after five months of war the IDF “has a basic lack of thousands of soldiers” and this is the reason that they are demanding to draft the charedi sector. However “charedim are religious, they just want to study Torah and do not want to enlist, this is from the time of Ben Gurion.”

Nasrallah also referred to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recent statement that “if we don’t go into Rafah we will lose the war.” The Lebanese terrorist leader said that “even if you go into Rafah you’ll lose, since after six months of war you haven’t got one victory picture.”

Regarding the internal opposition in Lebanon to war with Israel, Nasrallah stressed that [former Shiite leader] Musa A-Sader said that “it is my obligation to die for Jerusalem. This is an obligation on all Muslims and on every person. Our fate and our goal are one an so is our campaign. The Lebanese front is fulfilling its goal in this campaign.”

Shulchan Aruch, chelek Orach Chaim, siman 329, sif 6:
“…When enemies threaten a Jewish border city,
even if they are only coming [apparently] to take
straw and stubble, the populace should take up arms
– even in desecration of the Shabbat – to defend itself”.
====================================
When the tribes of Reuven and Gad wished
to remain in Transjordan, presumably eluding
the battle for the conquest of Israel,
Moshe rebuked them:
“Shall your brothers go to war, and you shall sit here?” (Bamidbar 32:6).
Chastened, the tribal leaders responded that
of course they would join the battle.
Notice, though, how they did not tell Moshe
that they would be learning Torah full time
and thus should be exempt!
Moshe would not have warmed to that idea
– as he himself went to battle, as did Avraham,
as did King David, as have many great
Roshei Yeshivah and Torah scholars today.

So sad that it is this arel who speaks the truth that Jews who follow the Torah do not belong anywhere near the IDF while the askanim have convinced their leaders to allow that which was never permitted and is in fact not permitted.

The Americans here in the comments section seem to have zero issue with sitting here behind screens and not signing up to go to Gaza and instead berate Jews who want to remain frum.

Stupid Arab! He would know any of our history, he would know that there were always the ones who were learning in the zchus of those who were serving. We did not have everyone go out to serve in wars. It was only a certain amount of people and the rest were either learning etc or being support staff in some other way.
