JERUSALEM (VINnews) — BDE: Chief Warrant Officer Uri Moyal, 51, a resident of Dimona, was murdered in a terrorist stabbing attack in a cafe located at the Beit Kama Junction in southern Israel on Thursday afternoon.

Uri served as a non-commissioned officer in the IDF. He is survived by his wife, three children and two grandchildren. He was laid to rest Friday in the Dimona military cemetery.
Two other people were wounded in the stabbing.

Security footage of the attack showed that Uri heroically fought off the attacker despite being stabbed multiple times. He pushed the terrorist to the ground, pulled out a gun and shot him, preventing further casualties.
Additional footage from the scene showed another man who was in the store charging at the terrorist and trying to prevent him from getting up, while Uri pulled out his gun.
The terrorist, who was eliminated in the incident was a 22-year-old resident of the Bedouin town of Rahat, who grew up in Gaza and entered Israel when he married a Rahat girl three years ago. Right-wing elements have called to prevent Palestinians from gaining Israeli residency rights by marrying Israeli Arabs, citing the security risks involved.
