(VINnews) — Eylon Levy, the “rockstar” Israeli spokesman since October 7th, has been suspended by the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday.

No reason has been given for the suspension of the extremely articulate and sharp spokesman, although Israeli media reported that it was linked to him angering a top British politician. Levy reportedly replied to a tweet from British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, asserting that there were no issues with the capacity of aid trucks entering Gaza.

As a result, Levy has been suspended from his role and has been absent for over a week. One outlet said it is “unlikely” that he will return to his position.

The news of the suspension coincides with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly complaining about the lack of proficient English-speaking spokespersons in Israel.

About ten days ago, Cameron tweeted that he had told Benny Gantz that Israel must increase humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Levy wrote “It is factually incorrect that the flow of aid has not increased. Last week we had a record 277 trucks. Over the past 2 weeks, there have been nearly 50% MORE food trucks entering compared with before the war. Israel’s crossings have excess capacity and if the UK wants more aid to enter Gaza, it should send it and we’ll make sure it gets in.”

A few weeks ago, N12 reported that Sara Netanyahu tried to have Levy removed from his role for participating in the Israeli judicial reform protests before the Israel-Hamas War.

Bibi’s lovely wife (3rd marriage) couldn’t stand him, so Levy must go bye-bye. Let the country go to pot, but at least Mrs. Netanyahu is happy. Dumb stupid corrupt leadership.

His problem is that he is too good and therefore a threat to the average Israeli and a major threat to those who think they can do better, without being able to think in English. Being a government spokesman involves more than the childish English most of the Israeli members of the government speak

I cannot find anything wrong with what Levy said. Frankly Cameron has a past record of “unfriendliness” to Israel, to say the least. Is Israel so sensitive for Levy correcting a fallacy by Cameron? This is strange.

What a pity! Eylon Levy is awesome! Bold, confident, unflappable and ready with facts and numbers. He was interviewed by some of the nastiest hate mongers of news stations, who ask questions for the sake of airing their personal opinions, rather allowing the interviewee to speak and he held his own admirably. Israel has others whose heavily accented, slow and elementary English, doesn’t get the Israeli message out clearly and articulately.

Why is Cameron telling Israel what to do? We need Levy back. Don’t throw friends away because of enemies.

Hmmm. Maybe he played a hand secretly in trying to unseat Netanyahu as per Schmucky Schumer fiasco. Backstabbing?? Could be.
