The new underground water system provides clean water for the village, which numbers over 1500 people. At the ceremony celebrating the new well, more than 2000 residents participated, as well as Chabad emissaries from 13 neighboring African countries. The villagers also celebrated Yossi’s Bar Mitzvah with him, dancing joyously in honor of the boy who had provided them with the most basic need.
Rabbi Uzan estimates that there are 850 Jews living in Abuja and Lagos. Most of them are contract workers who arrive from abroad for 3 to 5 years. Additionally there are Jews scattered in various small cities around the country, and Chabad maintains activities for them mainly during festival periods.
The reach of Chabad is staggering. Everyone thinks of Chabad when the travel to Cancun or Palm Beach, they are doing Hashem’s work in places like Abuja, Nigeria as well!!!
Kol HaKavod to this young man and his incredible family.
What a Kiddush HaShem! A young Chusid imbued with Chesed in what can only be described as Gulas. In comparison to hamas barbarians who only teach their children hatred. But the world & the fake news are blind to this. Yossi continue your wonderful growth & bring the light of Torah to all around you.
Remarkable!
What a Kiddush Ha Shem !
The avos hakdoshim dug wells too – Avraham and Yitzchok!
