(VINnews) — A Jewish JetBlue passenger accused the airline of “blatant antisemitism” after it canceled his flight home because he objected to a flight attendant wearing a “Free Palestine” pin during his trip to Las Vegas.

Paul Faust, a 54-year-old telecom entrepreneur from Parkland, Florida, flew from South Florida to Vegas, where he was met by a JetBlue official after getting off the plane who accused him of “causing a disturbance” during the flight and called the Las Vegas PD.

Faust says that he initially kept quiet after seeing the flight attendant wear a pin bearing the Palestinian flag and the words Free Palestine — but spoke up when she shifted the pro-Palestinian pin to the front of her apron — a move that he interpreted as provocative and deliberate.

Faust posted this video describing the incident. Many users called for the boycott of JetBlue, and the company, in response, launched an investigation into the incident with testimony from other passengers.

Eventually, the airline apologized to Faust and for the disruption to his flight, saying “We hope with these actions we can welcome him back onto a JetBlue flight in the future.”

JetBlue said they have changed their policy, and crewmembers can now only wear pins approved or issued by the airline

Read the latest airline snafu at Dan’s Deals with the ejection of 2 bochurim from an AA flight – collective punishment. One removed because he voiced concerns about the safety of the plane – seeing a dent in wing and the other sitting many rows behind him because he’s dressed the same as the first person.

The bigger problem is that she filed a false report. I want to know is if the report went over the FAA channels or if it was a private report made to the company who was then able to get somebody to meet him at the gate upon arrival. Either way it’s very bad because they diverted the cockpit attention from flying the aircraft to stupidity. If it was the captain that decided to do this, then he’s got a big problem on his hand as well.
