BNEI BRAK (VINnews) — In a rare exchange caught on video, US Ambassador Jack Lew, a frum Jew, was filmed discussing President Joe Biden’s policy toward the war in Gaza with Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch shlit’a.

Rav Hirsch remarked that President Biden really feels in his heart, truly believes that Israel was harmed and has certain rights [to defend itself].
“It’s not easy because it’s a very hard war and it’s not a very popular war in the United States — very unpopular,” Lew is heard responding. “He’s trying to make his positions clear while being able to continue to help Israel accomplish what it needs to accomplish — and when he needs to, saying when he thinks Israel needs to do some things differently — as friends must.”
“Since October 7, I think the world has seen that for most of his life, Joe Biden is a Zionist. He believes in Israel and believes in the need for a Jewish homeland. Since October 7, the world has seen how he responds to tragedy,” Lew adds.

Lew is a liar, it is only unpopular to hamas democrats the rest of the country overwhelming support Israel in the war.
I saw this at yeshiva world mr. Lew tried saying the gaza war is very unpopular to israel’s detriment in america. Even though statistics show the vast majority of americans support israel. (ONLY jihadists and woke college students form groups that hate israel). As well a bipartisan consesus passed an israel aid bill. I plan on asking this to a rabbi, but it seems to me he lied to multiple gedolim. With what effectively are platitudes that don’t describe the actual policies of the biden administration. I could be wrong but this seems deeply problematic.

One need only look at books like ethics of our fighters to know how the halachic decisors do not approve of aid conditioning. Israel has literally the most moral army in the world. This has been confirmed by numerous security experts. It is hard to take this as words of a friendly ambassador if I were not give the name of the individual saying them.
I give praise to the rabbanim such as rav hirsch shlita, as they handled the matter admirably as gedolei hatorah, even if we consider Lew an ambassador of an unfriendly white house.
Lew will of course bend over backwards to support every move by Biden including the weapons shipment pause and the threat to withhold all weapons shipments when they incade rafah, lew always defends the Democrats anti Israel moves.
And in spite of all this Yidden will still go to the polls and vote for the demorats. WAKE UP!

Jack Lew is not doing the Jewish people any favors. With “friends” like Lew who needs enemies ?? Firstly, he is an outright liar. The war is unpopular in Deep-Progressive areas such as LA, NYC, Chicago, DC and pretty much every other every major city in the US. Reason being is because of the anti-American & antisemitic Progressive-Politicians who run these cities, counties & states and allow the “students” to run wild on campus & on the streets with zero consequences. Combine that with the America-hating & Israel hating media here (not even liberal anymore) and the big city media outlets dominate the headlines because of the large-media markets their located in. Yes, National networks such as CNN & MSNBC, NPR etc. are also vehemently anti-Israel, but national-cable-news-networks are a slow dying breed. The majority of working-class & regular Americans in the South, Midwest, Great-plains & etc. support Israel’s fight against evil & fully acknowledge that they never asked to be forced into this position. Lew is simply a Puppet doing Obama-Biden’s bidding. Like Kissinger during Yom-Kippur-War, it’s a shame how he has put his personal title & aspirations before his own people. It’s also EMBARRASSING how the Christians are much more vocal in their support for Israel regardless of the reason. Scary Times!
When such a matter is discussed it is paramount to recall the words of the wisest of men, Shlomo Hamelech, who says in Mishlei 21:1, לב מלך ביד ה, the heart of the king is in the hand of G-d.

I don’t agree with Lew, I think he has an impossible job though.

the war isn’t unpopular in America – just the crazy people who oppose it are loud. Most of America supports Israel in this war.
Lew represents Biden and has to tow his line. He is not stupid or a bad person, but if he said he disagreed with Biden, he’d be fired. In couched terms, Lew admitted that Biden is doing this because he’s afraid to alienate his voters, which include Hamas supporters and all kinds of antisemites. If we see that Netanyahu and his cabinet are mum on the Biden weapons embargo, that probably means all the embargoed weapons are actually being funneled to Israel through a third party.
President Biden really wishes, that every Israeli soldier fighting in Gaza should go back home and join a Beis Medrash and learn, and that learning will win them the war against Hamas.
