SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Left-wing activist Linda Sarsour, a close ally of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, called for the ouster of Israel-supporting “corporate Democrats” during a fiery panel Thursday at the SOMOS political conference, The New York Post reported.

Sarsour made the remarks at an event titled “Colonialism, Resistance and Solidarity: Puerto Rico and Palestine,” telling attendees, “You do the right thing, you keep your job. You don’t do the right thing, you don’t keep your job.”
Joining her was City Councilwoman Alexa Avilés, a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member who is considering a primary challenge against Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY). Avilés urged activists to “root out corporate Democrats” allegedly backed by AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying group.
Both Sarsour and Avilés have been major backers of Mamdani, himself a DSA member whose sweeping socialist platform includes free public transit and expanded housing subsidies. Mamdani is expected to attend a SOMOS reception hosted by state Attorney General Letitia James later Thursday, according to the Post.
Gov. Kathy Hochul is scheduled to deliver remarks at a separate evening reception.

Remember Satmar Askanim met Mamdani 3x. They asked him for Section 8 Housing for their people. They claimed that Housing Projects had stopped approving Frum Yidden’s applications. They asked him to fund Yeshivas, but stay away and not interfere. For this they promised their bloc vote. The Satmar Askanim, who do nothing without their Rebbes approval in Williamsburg and the Rebbe’s approval in Kiryas Yoel, were the representatives that met with Mamdani in the Succah and at 2 other places. This is about Frum Yidden in NYC, who fear this antisemitic newly elected mayor and feel they will have to sell their homes in Flatbush or Boro Park and leave. By the way, most Brooklyn Chasidim voted for Cuomo, as an alternative to an antisemitic Islamist Communist and his minions of Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR Islamists by his side.
