Earlier in the day, Adams toured the City of David, reflecting on its 3,000-year history as King David’s ancient capital. “The history here runs deep, and the connection between Jerusalem and the Jewish people is unshakable,” Adams tweeted. “Grateful to walk these sacred steps today.”

Adams also met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, continuing his visit to strengthen ties between New York City and Israel.

The meeting with Netanyahu comes in Adams’ final days in office and highlights his long-standing pro-Israel stance. During their discussion, the leaders explored cooperation in technology, innovation, and tourism, underscoring efforts to deepen economic and diplomatic ties.

Adams expressed appreciation for reconnecting with Israeli leadership before leaving office. Observers noted that with Adams’ departure, the level of support for Israel under the incoming administration will be closely watched.
