NEW YORK — Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has tapped rapper-turned-activist Mysonne Linen — who served seven years in prison for armed robbery — to advise his transition team on criminal justice policy, the New York Post reported.

Linen, 49, was convicted in the late 1990s of two armed robberies of Bronx taxi drivers, a case that derailed his early music career. Since his release, he has positioned himself as a community advocate focused on gun-violence prevention and reform efforts. He called the appointment a recognition of “decades of work” in marginalized communities.
The move has drawn criticism from groups already skeptical of Mamdani’s policing views. Jews Fight Back said on X that appointing a convicted robber to help shape public-safety policy is “insane.”
Mamdani, whose anti-police and anti-Israel rhetoric during the campaign sparked concern among critics, is set to take office next month. Linen and Mamdani’s representatives did not respond to the Post’s requests for comment.

Mamdani is a terrorist who hates America. Send him packing.
need to move outta New York ASAP – this is become a criminalized city run by communists
FYI, the early ones out will get the most for their homes for sale.

LOL. hey Joseph Feldman stop copy pasting from NYPOST.COM
maybe he should also consider Luigi mangioni as an advisor or even as a member of his inner circle.
i need to move out of nyc asap.
Here goes. Buckle up folks. It’s gonna be a long scary bumpy ride for the next 4 years.
I guess this thug has a lot of self experience in criminal history
this appointment makes perfect sense in the childish world of “representation”, where “lived experience” trumps logic and facts. where quotas are more important than qualifications. stay tuned for four more years of “fun”!
I love rappers!
