One of two shooters who fired at Jewish families at Bondi Beach, killing 16 people including a child, held a gun licence for at least a decade and owned six deadly firearms
As the father, Sajid Akram, 50, ran down the steps and closer to the crowds in the park, his 24-year-old son, Naveed, turned to bystanders behind him and to his right, gesturing for them to go away. He then turned back to shoot at crowds in the park.
The pair are of Pakistani descent and had allegedly sworn allegiance to ISIS, but Israeli intelligence sources believe that Iran is behind the deadly attack in which 16 people were murdered.
