WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews)— President Donald Trump declared Wednesday that he is repairing the economic and border security challenges he inherited from the previous Democratic administration, asserting progress in his first 11 months in office.

“Eleven months ago, I inherited a mess and I’m fixing it,” Trump said in remarks highlighting his administration’s achievements.
The president claimed that when he took office in January 2025, inflation stood at its worst level in 48 years — and “some would say in the history of our country” — with prices at record highs that made life unaffordable for millions of Americans. He tied the issue to policies under President Joe Biden, noting that the term “affordability” emerged prominently during that period.
Trump also described the southern border as having been “open,” allowing what he called an “invasion” by 25 million people, including many from prisons, jails, mental institutions and insane asylums, as well as drug dealers, gang members and murderers.
“This is what the Biden administration allowed to happen to our country,” Trump said. “It can never be allowed to happen again.”
The remarks come as Trump’s administration has reported sharp declines in illegal border crossings, with preliminary data showing record lows in recent months compared to highs during the Biden years, when total encounters exceeded 10 million.
Inflation has moderated to around 3% in recent readings, down from a peak of 9.1% in 2022 under Biden, though far below historical highs of over 20% in the early 20th century.

I hope Trump gives an address like this every month
