Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said at a news conference Wednesday that the health care provider at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital was monitoring herself for symptoms of Ebola. The unidentified woman reported a fever Tuesday and then was taken to isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian.
It’s not clear how she contracted the virus during care she provided for Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian man who died of Ebola at Texas Health Presbyterian.
Authorities declined to say what position she holds at the hospital or the type of care she provided.
Did she also “not follow protocol” ? Or did she lapse in the way she removed her protective gear?
More likely: the Ebola virus is more readily transmitted than the CDC is ready to admit. Look at their own website. The mechanism of transmission is still not fully understood.
1) stop the flights
2) anybody from west Africa has a 30 day waiting period before they enter the country (incubation period)
3) 24-48 isolation period after arrival in the US.
That’s a start.
Secular. Too late for that. There have been nurses who treated Thomas Duncan who then treated other people. That leaves hundred of people exposed to the virus.
