When I lived in NYC, I remember seeing motorists trying to cut off fire engines, on Coney Island Avenue. This occurred, even when the sirens on the engines were clearly audible. Motorists in NYC, are extremely aggressive; even the frum ones show no derech eretz, regarding the way that they drive!
