We thank and give credit where its due to Sruly Myer (design and marketing) for putting together the above 4 tracks with permission from the distributors, and sending it over to VIN News.
It’s not so simple that it’s permissible to listen to this in the 3 weeks
Thank you!
Kessin’s nishmas is identical to a famous song by the rabbis’ sons to the words of Uamacha (umacha hashem dima meyal kol ponim)
Press play on all four at once and you a beautiful Cappella
its ossur – ask rabbi miller
Finally!,been waiting 2 years now
Shua rocks
What a song
Hit home the first time
Unlike songs today you gotta listen to 20 times and maybe it’ll catch on
Can’t wait for the rest
Btw the others were also good
Thank you…the music you provided motivated me to go and download some other good negunim that sets the right mood leading up to Tisha Ba’av.
let’s not talk about ossur or Miter for one minute
would anyone want to listen to this music while he is a אבל ר”ל
that’s the point. is we are not thinking of the חובה”ק
who wants to listen to this.
just for the record, I am also listening to it. ליידער
but let just atleast UNDERSTAND those who say it is ossur and not bash them
You cant last without music 4 3 weeks?? We have no clue what the Bais Hamikdosh was but we should try to imagen what it was. Muter or not I will not do it!! I have a love 4 Israel and I want to see that Israel that I love so much have the Bais Hamikdosh sooner then later, I wont cry because I cant listen to music 4 3 weeks, FEEL THE CHURBUN
I liked ABD’s Oleinu the most.
I will download them. and wait with great paitients untill we are after Tisha Bov, after all its less then three weeks to go, so whats the fuss?! cant we have a little, (yes, its only a little..) self control?!
the 4th song has beat and backup music? how is that mitter under ANY circumstances???
So big deal if the chorus is similar
And what do u think the rabbi sons were doing
COPYING SHLOMO CARLEBACH
Now that’s a good thing
Better than all these other songs copying goisha songs
I listen to real music its not so simple that real recorded music is asur. Btw sunshine is obviously the best song.
ABD’S Oleinu was absolutely beautiful.
to #21 , anonymous: who says “exercise music” = “sweating with the oldies”??? There are many, many jewish and heimish exercise CDs out. I go to a Chassidish exercise class, and we were told we can listen to these songs, to provide a beat for the exercises, but it’s best to turn it off for the stretching part at the end. No music at all during 9 days. Obviously, everyone needs to ask their own Rav, but if i’s good enough for these ladies…
PS. My 2 cents: My Rav said, regarding acapella music during Sefira and 3 weeks, “if it sounds like music, if it makes you fell like it’s music, then it IS music!”
u obviously have no clue about music all of R’ Boruch Chait stuff is completely from Carlebach he would tell u that himself
i guess ud rather hear a copy of a goishe song like everyone else right?
The prohibition for listening to music is biblical: “Az Yimoleh S’hok Pinu Ulishonaynu Rinoh”. Chazal tell us that based on this it is forbidden to listen to music, laugh or be overly joyous until Moshiach comes. This is an explicit halocho in Shuchan Oruch that applies every day of the year, although one can make a dispensation for a simcho like a wedding. There are leniencies among some poskim for accapella. There are other times of the year that we strictyly enforce this halocho: the omer and the 3 weeks. During the omer many poskim allow listening to accapella music, yet whoever refrains from doing so is praiseworthy. Listening to any music in the 3 weeks is forbidden, because of the avelus over the destruction. According to the din of the gemoroh, most avelus takes effect the week of Tisha B’av, but Klal Yisroel have accepted stages of avelus from the 17th of Tammuz on.
BTW, to me only parts of Kessin’s nishmas were identical to Umacha. The opening was similar yet different.
