ABU DHABI (VINnews) — Israeli journalist Roi Keis, who serves as the Arab affairs corresponded for the state-funded Kan news outlet, interviewed Jamal Al Musharakh. the Director of the Policy Planning Department at the United Arab Emirates Foreign Ministry. Keis said that Al-Musharakh sounded enthusiastic about the peace process and welcomed the Israeli journalist, describing the UAE as a “tolerant society based on coexistence.”

Keis also questioned Al Musharakh about rumors published in the Israeli media that the accord between the UAE and Israel included a clause allowing the UAE to purchase the advanced F-35 stealth aircraft from the US, a claim hotly denied by Prime Minister Netanyahu and senior Israeli government officials. Al Musharaf answered non-commitedly that “security specifics are part of the discussions between the three countries.” He also refused to comment on the UAE’s response to a possible Israeli annexation in Judea and Samaria, stating that they have “assurances” from Israel and the US.
However he stressed that Israelis would be able to attend the Expo in 2021 and invited them to visit the UAE.
